Packing and Shipping
First, the transformer body will be fixed on a sturdy wooden pallet with sufficient load-bearing capacity to ensure that the equipment is stable during transportation. In order to prevent vibration during transportation, shock-absorbing materials will be used between the transformer and the pallet to ensure that the equipment is not affected by external vibrations. Then, the entire transformer will be wrapped in a moisture-proof and rust-proof protective film, which helps prevent oxidation and corrosion in a humid environment. All tank interfaces and valves will be tightly sealed to prevent oil leakage or contamination. All accessories of the transformer, including bushings, terminals, etc., will be individually packed in reinforced wooden boxes for transportation and avoid damage. Clear operating instructions, center of gravity markings and lifting positions will be marked on the external packaging box to ensure safety during transportation and loading and unloading.
In terms of transportation methods, for domestic transportation, the transformer will be transported by flatbed trucks, and the goods will be secured with high-strength straps to prevent movement during driving. For international transportation, the transformer is usually transported by container (for smaller units) or as bulk cargo (for larger units) by sea or rail. During transportation, the transformer will always remain upright and avoid tilting or inverting.
Finally, after strict packaging and transportation, NPC ELECTRIC's 1000kVA oil-immersed transformer will be delivered to the customer safely and intact, ensuring its normal operation and meeting the customer's usage needs.

Manufacturer Test

Progress Test
During the manufacturing process, NPC ELECTRIC's 1000kVA oil-immersed transformers are fully tested in strict accordance with international standards. First, the raw materials of the transformer will undergo strict quality inspection to ensure that all components meet the technical requirements. Next, after manufacturing, the transformer will undergo an airtightness test to ensure that the oil tank is leak-free and meets the sealing standards. Then, load tests and short-circuit tests are carried out to verify the stability and performance of the transformer under different working loads. Subsequently, a temperature rise test is carried out to ensure that the temperature of the transformer is controlled within a safe range during long-term operation. Finally, after the test is completed, all test reports will be recorded in detail and delivered to the customer to ensure that the quality and safety of the product meet the standard requirements.

Design Tests
All transformer will be test after finished the production, test items as below:
♦ Insulation Power Factor
♦ Ratio, Polarity, and Phase Relation
♦ Winding Resistance
♦ Impulse Tests
♦ On load Loss Test
♦ No Load Loss Test
♦ Leak Test
♦ DC Insulation Resistance Test
♦ Transformer Turns Ratio/TTR (All Tap Voltages)
♦ Impedance Voltage & Load Loss (Rated Voltage)
♦ Polarity, 1-Ph / Phase Relation, 3-Ph (Rated Voltage)
♦ Excitation & No-Load Loss (Rated Voltage)
♦ Applied Voltage
♦ Induced Voltage
♦ Lightning Impulse
♦ Insulation Resistance (Rated Voltage)
♦ Temperature Rise
♦ Dielectric Withstand (Hipot)

Transformer Factory Acceptance Test
Before NPC ELECTRIC's 1000kVA oil-immersed transformers leave the factory, they will undergo a rigorous transformer factory acceptance test (FAT) to ensure that their performance meets customer needs and international standards.
This process includes comprehensive testing of all aspects of the transformer, from electrical performance to mechanical structure, to ensure the stability and reliability of the equipment. First, the transformer will undergo a no-load test to check its current and voltage stability when it is running without a load. Next, a load test will be carried out to simulate the working state under different load conditions to verify its performance in actual applications. Then, a short-circuit test will be carried out to test the transformer's pressure resistance under short-circuit conditions to ensure its safety.
After the test, all test results and reports will be provided to the customer and approved by the customer to ensure that the transformer meets all technical requirements and safety regulations.
Routine Test - DC Insulation Resistance Test
Voltage source (usually 500V, 1000V, 2500V, or customized according to customer requirements)
Temperature and humidity meter (used to record the ambient temperature and humidity during the test to ensure that the test conditions meet the standard requirements.)
Perform the test under suitable environmental conditions. It is recommended to have a relative humidity below 75%, no rain, and a temperature range of 20-30°C to avoid moisture or temperature fluctuations affecting the test results.
Connect an insulation resistance tester to the high voltage terminal of the device under test and to ground.
Apply Test Voltage:
Select an appropriate test voltage based on the rated voltage of the equipment .
Insulation resistance value (MΩ)
Applied voltage
Ambient temperature and humidity during testing
500 MΩ ≤ Insulation resistance < 1000 MΩ (good)
100 MΩ ≤ Insulation resistance < 500 MΩ
Insulation resistance < 100 MΩ

FAQ From Customers
-
What is a Transformer?A transformer is an electrical device used to change the voltage of alternating current (AC). It works on the principle of electromagnetic induction, converting high-voltage current into low-voltage current or low-voltage current into high-voltage current. Transformers are widely used in power transmission, distribution systems, and various electronic devices.
-
What are the main uses of a transformer? The main use of a transformer is voltage conversion. Transformers are used in power transmission systems to help transfer electricity from power plants to consumers. In addition, transformers are also used in electronic devices such as chargers, televisions, power adapters, etc., to adjust the voltage to meet the requirements of different devices.
