Customization Optional
In terms of wiring methods, the high-voltage side of the transformer supports multiple standard voltages such as 12.47kV, 13.8kV, and 24kV, and can choose triangle or star wiring methods to adapt to the on-site system. The cooling method can be selected as natural oil cooling (ONAN) or air cooling auxiliary (ONAF), which is suitable for heavy load or high temperature conditions. The protective shell material and protection level can also be customized according to outdoor, coastal or industrial environments, including stainless steel structure and multi-level protection standards such as NEMA 3R/IP54.
Through the above optional configurations, NPC ELECTRIC is committed to providing customers with more flexible and reliable customized transformer solutions to meet the stringent technical requirements of various energy, industrial and infrastructure projects.
Packing and Shipping
The transformer's exterior is reinforced with sturdy wooden boxes or steel structural frames to prevent external impact during long-distance transportation. To protect the transformer from moisture and corrosion during transportation, the outer packaging surface is also wrapped with a waterproof film. All transport parts are strictly inspected and tested before packing to ensure that they meet transportation standards and customer requirements. In order to avoid damage or deformation of cable joints during transportation, the high and low voltage cable interface parts of the transformer are specially protected and covered with special protective covers.
The oil tank part of the transformer is filled with special materials to prevent leakage or damage to the oil tank during transportation. All accessories and accessories, such as grounding terminals, oil level gauges, etc., are also packaged separately and sent with the transformer for subsequent installation by customers.
During transportation, the transformer will be transported in containers or trucks that meet international standards to ensure its stability and safety. For orders that require cross-border transportation, NPC ELECTRIC provides detailed customs declaration documents and transportation arrangements to ensure that the transformer can pass customs smoothly. According to customer requirements, the mode of transportation can be selected by sea, air or land, and the specific mode will be reasonably selected according to the destination, delivery time and customer needs. If the customer is located in an inland area far away from the port, we will arrange a professional land transportation team for the last mile delivery and provide door-to-door installation services. All transportation operations strictly follow international transportation and customs regulations to ensure compliance and safety.
During transportation, each packaging unit of the transformer has a clear logo and shipping label to facilitate customer identification and receipt.
After the transformer arrives at the destination, NPC ELECTRIC's technical team will assist customers in completing installation and commissioning to ensure the normal operation of the equipment. The overall transportation cycle will vary depending on the destination and transportation method, and the specific time will be confirmed and arranged with the customer in advance.
Through careful packaging design and thoughtful transportation services, NPC ELECTRIC ensures that the transformer can be delivered to customers safely and on time to meet their efficient and safe use needs.

Manufacturer Test

Progress test
NPC ELECTRIC's 4000kVA three-phase pad mounted transformers are strictly tested in accordance with international standards during the manufacturing process. The tests include coil insulation test, no-load loss and short-circuit impedance test, dielectric strength and withstand voltage test and other key items. Each test is recorded and filed on-site by the quality inspection engineer to ensure that the product complies with IEC or ANSI standards. Only after all tests are passed can the next production process be entered, ultimately ensuring that the transformer has stable performance, safety and reliability.

Design Tests
All transformer will be test after finished the production, test items as below:
♦ Insulation Power Factor
♦ Ratio, Polarity, and Phase Relation
♦ Winding Resistance
♦ Impulse Tests
♦ On load Loss Test
♦ No Load Loss Test
♦ Leak Test
♦ DC Insulation Resistance Test
♦ Transformer Turns Ratio/TTR (All Tap Voltages)
♦ Impedance Voltage & Load Loss (Rated Voltage)
♦ Polarity, 1-Ph / Phase Relation, 3-Ph (Rated Voltage)
♦ Excitation & No-Load Loss (Rated Voltage)
♦ Applied Voltage
♦ Induced Voltage
♦ Lightning Impulse
♦ Insulation Resistance (Rated Voltage)
♦ Temperature Rise
♦ Dielectric Withstand (Hipot)

Transformer Factory Acceptance Test
NPC ELECTRIC's 4000kVA three-phase pad mounted transformers will undergo strict factory acceptance testing (FAT) before leaving the factory, including conventional electrical performance tests such as insulation resistance test, ratio test, induction withstand voltage and power frequency withstand voltage. All tests are performed in accordance with IEC 60076 or ANSI C57 standards to ensure that the products meet international quality requirements. Customers can make an appointment to monitor the test process on site to ensure that the equipment meets the technical specifications of their project.
Routine Test - Polarity 1-Ph
Voltage source: usually 500 V, 1000 V or customized as needed
Environmental monitoring: Temperature and humidity meter (records ambient temperature and humidity)
Check the connection terminals and wiring to ensure that there is no looseness or contamination.
Test under suitable environmental conditions: relative humidity less than 75% and no rain (recommended temperature: 20-30°C).
Connect the test equipment to the bushing or terminal of the device under test and ensure proper grounding.
Apply Test Voltage:
Select the appropriate test voltage according to the rated voltage of the device. For single-phase systems, the applied voltage should comply with the equipment specifications (such as 220V or 380V, etc.).
Phase sequence: Confirm whether the phase sequence of the power supply is correct.
Polarity: Check whether the wiring meets the predetermined polarity (positive and negative terminals are connected correctly).
Voltage: The actual voltage value during the test.

FAQ From Customers
-
What is a Transformer?A transformer is an electrical device used to change the voltage of alternating current (AC). It works on the principle of electromagnetic induction, converting high-voltage current into low-voltage current or low-voltage current into high-voltage current. Transformers are widely used in power transmission, distribution systems, and various electronic devices.
-
What are the main uses of a transformer? The main use of a transformer is voltage conversion. Transformers are used in power transmission systems to help transfer electricity from power plants to consumers. In addition, transformers are also used in electronic devices such as chargers, televisions, power adapters, etc., to adjust the voltage to meet the requirements of different devices.
