Packing and Shipping

5kVA Completely self-protected(CSP) Single Phase Pole Mounted Transformer
NPC ELECTRIC single-phase transformers are designed to be securely packaged for sea freight transport, ensuring safe delivery across long distances.
For this purpose, the packing and shipping of the 5kVA Completely Self-Protected (CSP) Single Phase Pole Mounted Transformer are carefully designed to ensure the transformer reaches its destination in optimal condition. The transformer is first securely packed in a durable wooden crate or metal frame, which provides robust protection during transport. High-quality shock-absorbing materials, such as foam, cardboard, or wooden supports, are used inside the packaging to prevent any damage caused by vibrations or impacts. The transformer is also coated with anti-corrosion treatment to protect it from moisture and environmental factors during transit.
To further safeguard the transformer, the external packaging is covered with waterproof plastic film or moisture-resistant materials, ensuring that it remains dry and protected against external elements. All packaging is clearly labeled with handling instructions, such as "Keep Dry," "Handle with Care," and "This Side Up," as well as product details like model, batch number, and manufacturing date for easy identification.
Once packed, the transformer is prepared for shipment based on its destination. For domestic shipments, it is typically transported by truck, while international shipments may involve sea or air freight. The transformer is placed on a pallet to maintain stability during transit. Throughout the shipping process, the logistics provider offers real-time tracking and monitoring to ensure safe delivery.
Upon arrival, the packaging is carefully opened, and a final inspection is conducted to ensure the transformer is in perfect condition. All relevant shipping documents, including factory acceptance test reports, are provided to the customer for verification and record-keeping. This detailed packing and shipping process ensures that the 5kVA CSP Single Phase Pole Mounted Transformer arrives at its destination safely, ready for installation and use.

Transformer Factory Acceptance Test

NPC Electric will tests made for quality control by the manufacturer on every device or representative samples, or on parts or materials as required, to verify during production that the product meets the design specifications.
The Factory Acceptance Test (FAT) of the 5kVA fully self-protected (CSP) single-phase pole-type transformer is a series of comprehensive inspections performed on the transformer before it leaves the factory to ensure that it meets the design and technical specifications. The test includes verification of electrical performance, such as input and output voltage, load test, overload protection, and short-circuit protection function inspection, as well as insulation strength, withstand voltage test, and temperature rise test. In addition, the mechanical structure of the transformer is checked to ensure that its installation stability and protection level meet the standards. Through these rigorous acceptance tests, it is ensured that the transformer meets the highest quality standards and has good operating performance and safety before it is delivered to the customer.

Routine Test - Transformer Turns Ratio/TTR (All Tap Voltages)

Purpose of Testing
The purpose of the transformer turns ratio (TTR) test is to confirm whether the voltage ratio between each tap of the transformer meets the design requirements and ensure that the transformer winding is connected correctly. By measuring the voltage ratio of each tap, it is possible to detect whether there is a fault or deviation in the transformer winding.
Testing Equipment
TTR tester: such as Doble, Megger, Omicron and other brands of transformer winding ratio tester.
Voltage source: usually AC 10 V to 30 V , used to test different voltages for each tap.
Temperature and humidity meter: used to record environmental conditions during the test to ensure test accuracy.
Current probe: used to measure the load current of the winding and ensure the accuracy of the test results.
Pre-Test Preparation
Disconnect all transformer tap-changers from the power supply and ensure that all equipment is properly grounded and discharged.
Perform the test under suitable environmental conditions: relative humidity below 75% and no rain (recommended temperature: 20-30°C). Avoid high humidity or bad weather that may affect the test accuracy.
Test Progress
Perform the test under suitable environmental conditions: relative humidity below 75% and no rain (recommended temperature: 20-30°C). Avoid high humidity or bad weather that may affect the test accuracy.
Measure and Record
Start the test and record the following parameters:
The voltage ratio between the windings
Deviation of the measured value from the rated ratio
Temperature Correction
If necessary, perform temperature correction on the measured turns ratio data (especially when testing at higher or lower temperatures). Generally, the standard reference temperature for temperature correction is 20°C.
Repeat Testing (if necessary)
Test the transformer's windings of different voltage levels (high voltage, medium voltage, and low voltage) separately to ensure that the turns ratios of all windings are normal.
Evaluation Criteria (Reference)
Turns ratio error ≤ 0.5% (pass)
0.5% < Turns ratio error ≤ 1% (caution)
Turns ratio error > 1% (further inspection or corrective action required)
*These comprehensive tests ensure that each transformer meets performance standards and operates reliably under various conditions.
