NPC Electric Ships 1000kVA Three-Phase Pad-Mounted Transformers to Dominican Republic

NPC Electric proudly announces the successful shipment of multiple units of 1000kVA three-phase pad-mounted transformers to the Dominican Republic on October 25, 2025. These high-performance 12.47-0.48/0.277kV Dyn11 loop-feed type transformers were custom-designed and manufactured to meet the specific requirements of the Dominican Republic’s ongoing distribution network reinforcement and modernization projects.

All units are equipped with a loop-feed design, allowing seamless integration into existing ring-type distribution networks commonly used across the Dominican Republic, Puerto Rico, and other Caribbean countries. The robust stainless-steel enclosure and anti-corrosion coating ensure long-term reliability in tropical coastal environments with high humidity and salt exposure.

Before shipment, every transformer underwent full routine testing per IEEE standards at NPC Electric’s state-of-the-art high-voltage laboratory, including ratio, polarity, insulation resistance, applied potential, induced potential, and no-load/loss tests. Third-party inspection by SGS was also completed successfully.
